Wild Cucumber Seeds

Wild Cucumber (Echinocystis lobata) is a fast growing vine that can reach 25 ft and cover a fence or wall. Its unusual spiny fruit contains a fibrous interior resembling a tiny loofah.

We collected this seed from vines that have grown wild and sown themselves behind the barn at our old farmyard for at least twenty years.

Seed requires about two months of cold stratification.
