Red Lake Currant

Red Lake is a red currant introduced in Minnesota in 1933 and selected for berry size, long clusters, and productivity. It produces heavy crops of large bright red berries.

The tart, tangy, slightly sweet fruit is useful fresh and for jam, jelly, sauces, and preserves. Red Lake is vigorous and can begin producing within two to three years.
