Pink Pearl Apple Tree

Pink Pearl is a red fleshed apple introduced in the 1940s by California breeder Albert Etter. It was selected from seedlings of Surprise, an older apple known for its coloured flesh.

The medium sized fruit has pale yellow to green skin and bright pink flesh. Its crisp texture and aromatic tart sweet flavour, often described with berry and citrus notes, suit fresh eating, pink applesauce, and jelly. Pink Pearl ripens in late summer and can be susceptible to apple scab.
