Liberty Apple Tree

Liberty is a McIntosh line crossed with a scab immune parent and released in 1978. The medium mostly red apples have crisp juicy flesh with a lively sweet tart flavour and ripen in the middle of the season.

Liberty has high resistance to apple scab and good tolerance to cedar apple rust and powdery mildew, making it a useful McIntosh type where reduced disease pressure matters.
