Autumn Olive Plants

Autumn Olive (Elaeagnus umbellata) is a vigorous shrub with silvery green leaves and abundant red fruit. The berries have a sweet tart flavour similar to cranberry or pomegranate, with mild astringency. The nitrogen fixing plants tolerate poor soil and drought once established.

Autumn Olive can spread aggressively and is invasive in parts of North America. Check local regulations and keep plants managed so they do not escape into natural areas.
